El FortiGate 40F-3G4G combina las mismas prestaciones de seguridad del 40F —firewall de 5 Gbps, IPS de 1 Gbps y NGFW de 800 Mbps— con un modem celular 3G/4G LTE Cat-12 integrado (Sierra Wireless EM7565) y doble slot nano-SIM Active/Passive. Ideal para sucursales donde la fibra no está disponible o como enlace WAN de respaldo celular con failover automático vía SD-WAN.
El 40F-3G4G comparte chasis y plataforma SoC4 con el 40F estándar, sumando un modem Sierra Wireless EM7565 LTE Cat-12 con soporte de bandas globales y GNSS integrado. La doble SIM (Active/Passive) permite usar dos operadores: uno como enlace principal y otro como respaldo, o uno para datos y otro para gestión fuera de banda. FortiOS gestiona el failover entre WAN cableado y celular como parte de su motor SD-WAN, sin configuración manual de rutas. Las antenas SMA externas (3 incluidas) garantizan buena recepción incluso en instalaciones con paredes gruesas o sótanos.
