Conserva los 8 puertos GE RJ45, 8 slots GE SFP y 2 slots 10GE SFP+ acelerados por los procesadores NP6 y CP9, soporta 8 millones de sesiones concurrentes e incluye 2 transceivers SFP SX de 1 GE y fuente de poder redundante hot-swappable opcional.
La diferencia del 601E frente al 600E está en sus 2 SSD de 240 GB: permiten retener logs, reportes de FortiView y datos de WAN optimization dentro del appliance, sin depender de FortiAnalyzer ni de FortiGate Cloud para el día a día — clave para auditorías y para políticas de retención de evidencia en sitio. El resto es el mismo motor: procesadores NP6 (red) y CP9 (contenido) que aceleran por hardware firewall, VPN, CAPWAP e inspección SSL (incluyendo TLS 1.3), 8 puertos GE RJ45, 8 slots GE SFP para fibra de acceso y 2 slots 10GE SFP+ para uplinks al core.
